Case Run 7...thermal oscillations occur without the catalyst.....20MAY98
This run was conducted with about 40cc of quartz chips in the chamber, occupying a similar volume as the 20 grams of G75-D catalyst that Dr. Case sent me recently. As you can see, the peculiar thermal oscillations in Tgas occur with the quartz chips over a similar range of pressures.
This result supports the hypothesis that the thermal oscillations I have observed are due to unstable convection currents.
This result may have absolutely no bearing on the phenomenon that Dr. Case is observing.
